Miss Newfoundland and Labrador Pageant

Celebrating Newfoundland and Labrador's most amazing women since 1947

About the Miss Newfoundland and Labrador Pageant

The Miss Newfoundland and Labrador Pageant is an avenue for women ages 18-24 to showcase their achievements, intellect, and, community involvement.

This pageant allows young women the opportunity to express their views on societal matters and gives them a platform from which to launch their careers, professional and personal, and volunteer.

Miss Newfoundland and Labrador is chosen and based on her public speaking abilities, communication, community involvement, physical fitness, personality, poise, and confidence. She will become a role model for the youth of Newfoundland and Labrador and will travel the province participating in festivals, fundraisers, and Newfoundland and Labrador traditional events, all while promoting the pageant and the people of this wonderful province.

Ever since the pageant's inception year of 1947, the Miss Newfoundland and Labrador pageant has been held in Harbour Grace as a part of the annual Trinity Conception Fall Fair. Every September the province's most amazing, driven, intelligent, and talented young women gather in the Conception Bay North community to compete for the coveted title of Miss Newfoundland and Labrador. On the last night of the Pageant weekend, family, friends, and fans gather in the S. W. Moores Memorial Stadium to witness the life changing crowning of one lucky lady.
